Well, he seems nice!
Well, he seems nice!
This is a (speculative) explanation, not a defense: I think he was *certain* Clinton would win, so he was worried about fall out to his reputation and the FBI (and maybe even threats to her legitimacy) if it came out he was sitting on info after the election. I think it never crossed his mind that there was a chance…
Because the White House counsel represents the office of the president, not the man himself. A subtle distinction sometimes, but in cases like this can be quite important. It’s the same reason a corporation and its officers may have separate counsel when sued together. Potential conflicts.
Feel free to put them in their proper context.
“Benign” racism?
Or, less charitably, maybe you can’t “get on board” with calling her horrible because of your: (a) willingness to blithely dismiss outright malicious racism as “silly nonsense;” or (b) assumption that she must just be “regurgitating” what she heard other people say rather than that she’s a fully-realized person…
On a case like this (public official, matter of public concern), truth isn’t a defense (i.e., defendant doesn’t have the burden of proving the statement was true). Falsity is actually part of Trump’s prima facie burden because of First Amendment protections.
Burn your account down and end it
Got it - thanks
Am I misunderstanding, or are you saying Jeff Sessions would be offered/accept a demotion within his own department to run the FBI?
Oh wow. That’s not a bad call. I hope you’re wrong - but disturbingly plausible.
You don’t need to pay money to understand the basic tenets and practices of judaism, Christianity, or Islam. That information is made freely available.
This will almost certainly not sink in, but: You are a profoundly awful person. I don’t say that lightly. You try to hide your vindictiveness and (unearned) sense of superiority behind morality, but you fool precisely no one. You need to reflect.
Your self-righteousness is not nearly as impressive or brave as you think it is. (And your writing is larded garbage.)
I don’t know if it was as intense, but he disliked Bill as well. Full on Clinton Derangement Syndrome, with maybe a twist of subconscious sexism.
I feel like it’s generational. Boomers despise her. My dad, an otherwise generally reasonable guy, starts frothing at the mouth when HRC comes up (although he assured me he held his nose and voted for her over Trump anyway). I don’t get it at all.
Rabbits eat carrots tho
Yes, I am boring and miserable. You are special and joyful. Also, you are never wrong, just remembering an alternate reality.
The fragile ego that fuels your “Mandela Effect” alternative facts bullshit on full display, I see.
Ugh. It is amazing to me there are people to whom “I am remembering a parallel universe!” is more plausible than “I held a common misconception”.
