Why does seeing crying Alfred always break my heart so? ;_;

While watching through this show, one thought always came to mind: would this meta-approach to overpowered protagonists with “plot armor” work with something like Superman? That would an interesting way to comment on how that character’s nigh-invincibility makes him boring to some.

Ehhh honestly I have lots of gripes with the prequels too but the ships are not one of them.

What category do you put something like science fiction writing in? I would consider that art technically, and I’m sure if it weren’t for certain scifi writers as inspiration many of the sciences today wouldn’t be even near where they are right now.

Actually after watching it I feel like it does take a good amount of inspiration from it. I mean obviously I wasn’t thinking I wanted EU stories told on film, that wouldn’t be thrilling at all haha. Just a few EU concepts thrown in was great enough for me. =)

Well, let’s hope then since it’s just them moving forward in time that at least some of the cooler previous EU story elements are made canon. Sorta like at least implying Bane’s rule of two wasn’t how it always was, but the old republic was brimming with Jedi and Sith conflict. Or grey Jedi concept becoming official,…

Would it be fair to say it’s more for people who’ve only watched the OT, or is it more for the people who’ve read lots of the (now debunked) EU?
