Shane. Listen — with ALL OF THE MULTITUDES of general aviation aircraft available, why waste your time or money on ANY plane that has a "crash" NTSB report? With 98% of general aviation pilots doing it for pleasure/fun/etc...meaning you don't HAVE to fly, why do it in a plane that has had major issues in the past?
