Buell, has been burnt so badly twice (thrice?). He was the hero (and genius) we needed, but he’s still an engineer and product guy and that might have been his failing.

In hindsight, if they kept Buell around, cut down some of his self-destructive tendencies and got a couple of sports bikes and standard nakeds in that partnership while keeping the Buell name, they could’ve kind of used Buell to counter the likes of Ducati (yay, they’re doing well still) and the Japs.
