Once this update and iOS5 hit I'll see if I'd rather leave the iPhone 4. I always admired the WP7 interface and this helps solidify it. Given it does mostly what I do with my phone anyway it looks good, but I'll have to check the app store cause there's some apps that'll make or break it for me.

The 854x480 figure makes perfect sense, it's standard def widescreen resolution in square pixels. Ridiculously common LCD to boot that you can find in sub-$100 portable DVD players.

It's 16x9 SD technically once you stretch the pixels and square 'em out. Hence why it's common for DVD players and probably ideal for this. Anything proprietary like 870 would be redonkulous.
