Damnit. 3-5 hours in industry-talk is really only half an hour. I think Dead Space was the only game where they said "10 hours" and it took me 10 hours. Everyone else is usually over shooting by at least two.

@Combichristoffersen: I do remember being heartily disappointed when I saw it. What an odd experience to expect the exact opposite of what the movie turned out to be.

@Uzumaki_Kiba: Hell yeah, I loved MediaPlay. I remember living in Houston there was one at the mall and I wanted to go there like everyday and just live there. Too bad they were only open for like two years or so.

I'd complain but I'm reminded of the three qualities, "good, fast and cheap", and that I have to pick two. Seeing as Valve chose "great" and "free" anyone is unjust in demanding "now".

The most I paid for a game barring peripherals and special editions was probably the $80 I had to drop for Mario Kart 64 back in the day when they charged all willy nilly. I remember my uncle paying something like $90 I think for FF3/6 when it was released though.

@Stockpile: Really any desktop in the past four years should be upgradeable enough to play this game. I remember playing the original Half-Life 2 on a 2.2GHz P4 Northwood and a GeForce FX5200 128MB with fairly decent performance. I bet this game could run on a 3.06GHz P4D and a GeForce 7600GT no problem...

Never figured Thompson would pull out the first Amendment on this one, not after all the trampling he's been doing all over it.
