Battle pets are tradeable so directly convertible from real money to gold. Also they can be moved between servers/factions at no cost. That's why I said WoW to a minor extent (it's very minor). Truthfully it's basically a non-factor (because it's too much of a hassle/takes a lot of ingenuity) in WoW. I've played

Consoles are PCs with limited specs and OSes. As soon as you realize this and realize that your buddy only buys expensive PCs (which are a shit value, ex: top of the line graphics card is $1000, second best is like $500-600 and you only get max a 5% increase in power). He's being hoodwinked, he's a poor shopper with

Agreed on everything you said (sorry to not elaborate more, getting tired).

Exactly, like you said the chicken/egg question. I think we're on the same page and as I tend to not favour getting involved heavily in political discussion I'll just say I'm glad we saw a similar overall long-term objective. You're completely correct the corporation changes from the people it hires (along with

It seems like an inherently interesting and dynamically complex world, however I have one massive issue with this game. They claim it's not "pay-to-win", but I believe any game that allows users to pay real money for upgrades that have an in-game impact (ie non-cosmetic) is pay-to-win. For example, Dota 2 & Team

I just wanted to add that I find it easier to look at a media corporation like Fox news as a unit and judge them based on their average overall policies and tendencies. Individual political beliefs of employees are mainly irrelevant next to the desires of the corporation.

Honestly, and you may dislike me for saying this, but I see no ultimate difference between Republicans and Democrats. I'm Canadian and our party system has similar issues of homogenization.

The idea of maxing out (and obviously paying more) is a very short-sighted way of looking at things. Just because you have that option doesn't mean you should take it. You are suggesting spending more to upgrade a PC to max it out, when you don't have to and you would still get equal performance to a PS4/XBone. The

Free tip for PC use with minimal chance of getting hacked/spyware'd: Forget anti-virus/firewalls, they're mainly useless like car insurance. Instead go never download pirated/suspicious programs/games (unless you become an advanced user, then you can learn to run an "encrypted sandbox"). Next download and use

It did factor in gaming keyboards & mice. But if you want an XBone controller on PC or a kb/m on XBone that would be extra obviously for both, so irrelevant.

I made a post response to you of the breakdown of the math. To sum it up, over an 8 year period if you have PS+ that whole time, & buy at least 10 new games (or 5 old games) over the 8 years then it's always less expensive to build a desktop PC (of equal performance) instead of buying a PS4.

Yea I agree with you that microtransactions would suck as an alternative to online passes. Also I definitely agree that there's a trade-off for most things, so things can be both good and bad as you said.

The version that benefits the paying customer the most would be an open family share plan with no limitations. That also happens to be the version that costs the publishers/MS the most money.

This is the second Fox spokesperson in the last 24h that made an anti-gamer look foolish. As you said Fox Reporters are only doing their job, so it makes me think this is the beginnings of a shift in policy at Fox. They're trying to save face and slowly side with the majority as the accepted majority in society

Note to editors: Sorry for double-post, it was relevant to the discussion.

So you only use XBL for 3 years? The last XBox cycle was 8 years ($480).

1. Just because you plan on buying every game that you want (even though you could get some for free by waiting) definitely does not mean others would. Who doesn't like free money?

Stephen Totilo, who I respect as a journalist (all things considered; many mainstream journalists spin stories, false-hoods and half-truths) is still a journalist and so can't immediately dismiss microsoft when they say something is false. Only microsoft said the Pastebin article was false, nobody else. However if

I'll break your argument down line by line.
