It was said by microsoft after the system was removed. They have nothing to gain by saying otherwise and plenty to gain by denying it.

I compare PC and console gaming to buying a house outright and paying a house off in mortgage installments. The first has a larger down payment, the latter pays it off in installments but costs more overall. Those installments are higher prices on games and paying for online access.

Microsoft denied something that would be negative for them if people found out about it, and cause them to lose money. Think about that one for a sec.

Exactly you hit the nail on the head. Since neither source can be trusted completely, we just have to use common sense and logic.

What if I just use logic to cut down his argument instead. It's very simple. An open family share plan that allowed games to be shared with no limitations (except one person can play each shared game at a time) would cause a MASSIVE amount of profit loss for publishers and microsoft. It completely contradicts their

More conspiracy theorycrafting: agreed with your logic, and odds are publishers knew about and signed off on the family share plan. I mean they convinced MS to limit used games, why wouldn't the big publishers be in on it from the beginning.

Give one good reason why third-parties should care, given the low sales figures, high port fees, and inferior tech? Massive controller with screen doesn't count, similar tech will be available on all next-gen consoles.

I honestly don't know what the developers are thinking, but if I had to guess I'd say that from their perspective, learning a new console that will soon be obsolete technologically by the time their game is released isn't an ideal situation. It seems more of a hassle than it's worth.

Two words: key mapping

"Xbox One exclusives include Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome, Quantum Break, Killer Instinct, and Sunset Overdrive. PS4 exclusives include inFamous: Second Son, Knack, The Order: 1886, Killzone: Shadow Fall."

For the uninitiated on FF6, read the wiki on the villain Kefka to understand why people loved/hated him (and the story) so much.

I used to be of the opinion that the XBone and PS4 games marketplaces were both monopolies. I've since changed my view on that to some degree.

I have just one issue with these next-gen policies for XBone/PS4 (and Steam): the spread of online features in every game with the fact that all servers for a given game will eventually go down means that (without hacks/private servers) we won't be able to play those games again. And being a PC gamer I say the fuck

That would be a great feature to help reduce download bottlenecks on their servers on major releases.

I've previously answered a question like this, but:

Agreed on your idea about playing as the dog.

What a twist!

Here's your landfill:

To address your statement about why people tend to prefer Steam over Origin:

As a PC gamer I'm certainly concerned about Steam, and the fact few/no games allow dedicated servers like the days of Battlefield 2 and Counter-Strike. This means if servers go down for MP games in the future we would have to do illegal actions to play them still. What I mean by this is modders reverse-engineer game
