Wow guys. Wow. The dude asks for a cheap grand touring coupe, and all you guys came come back with are these boring yet totally practical options?

Somehow I keep forgetting that there are literally only two cars in the world you can buy, a Giulia and a Camry. You’re better than this, Graverobber! But judging by half the... things you post on NP or CP, I think maybe you’re a masochist.

You could always say you were looking to buy an American-Made Chrysler car

That I did not know - that’s not a proper policy. These companies settle in places usually with little or no tax burdens. Horrific government management then.

1st Gear: Trump is such a mental lightweight. I think Mark Fields missed a perfect opportunity to tell Trump “mind your own business, we know how to build and sell cars. And BTW, Trump and Ford, which one of these has never filed for bankruptcy?”

What sucks about the VW issue is that initially they signed a coop agreement with the union. Although there were a couple loud shitbag politicians in TN that opposed that. Which you gotta love. Shitting directly on your constituents and their livelihood.

1st.

I love when people talk crap about import cars, both European and Asian, and how we should buy “American” cars. They clearly have absolutely no understanding of how the auto industry, or really just about any industry these days, works. Whenever I visit the Detroit area in my car, an FR-S, someone inevitably makes

I’m confident Chris Bosh knew nothing about this. Do you know something that suggests otherwise?

I agree but fakery seems to sell in North America. Toyota’s obsession with fake turbo diesel hood scoops literally prints money in Tacoma sales.

Agreed. Just commented on another article the other day about how shitty those fake plastic grilles on the rear look.

That actually brings up another point: even good brands can’t always be trusted. Sometimes they repackage someone else’s terrible product because they can’t or don’t want to make it themselves. Your post brought this to mind because I had horrible luck with some terribly manufactured Centric part. I don’t remember

Unfortunately nowadays, you can’t even trust the reviews to be legitimate and some companies pay to pump up the reviews. I would like to see the comparison between the low and high grade parts. I truly think it might be a psychological game played with the grade rating

Every CUV is basically a mini-van without sliders. Including the one I own. Just don’t tell my wife.

People can’t die in a car they don’t buy!

I absolutely agree. They’re so minivan-like, we just bought a minivan because the gap had shrunk so much. No sense in pretending. But I think Tesla slightly messed up by not even pretending to make this an SUV. Higher profile tires and a little more ground clearance (for looks) and they might have a winner, however
