I’d say in non-turbo from it’s still pretty reliable. However, it has some costly maintenance ahead at high miles too. But otherwise I agree with what I think is your agreeing with me.

Most Subaru owners don’t give two shits about the boxer engine if they even know the car has it (WRX / STI people aside.) Come on MAN!!! you know better than that.

Que lots of, “Well I do this all the time and I’ve never replaced a clutch.” comments now.

Correct! We ALL know it was the best Bond Car, even if we all can’t admit it.

More of these stories involve Ford and Ford dealers than anything else. I too had an issue where a brand new Ford came from the factory with a small defect which was then fucked up beoynd repair by their dealer network (2 of them.) I too had other Ford dealers refuse to work on the car once the first dealer did their

I mean if you are going to talk about the best cars, the man drove, DO NOT leave this off the list!

That “golden rule” sounds like a fantastic way to ruin your clutch (and flywheel and throw-out bearing.) But what do I know?

I’ve know about the wipers, but always wondered how they worked. In true French style seemingly out of sync, but in reality with a lot of thought put into them. Also, using two things for the coverage and job that one could clearly do just as well and with more simplicity.

Once upon a time, I had a friend with an Integra (‘97 or ‘98) which he took the passenger seat out of. It was indeed actually a really nice car to ride in because of that. Plus he lightened it up for autocrossing (he also took out the power steering, which I maintain actually made slower at autox because of how hard

I live on a tiny street. So small that you can only park on one side of it, garbage trucks can barley squeeze by (and sometimes swipe the parked cars,) and it’s only about two blocks long. In other words, there is no reason to be doing 35 mph or more down it. In fact, you really have to be working to do that speed;

A friend of mine who is a mechanic wound up stuck with one about a decade ago. The owner brought it in because, surprise!, it wasn’t running. He then never paid his bill and if I remember correctly wound up in prison. So after a huge headache and lots of time involving legally getting ownership of the car in lieu of

Why would you get this when there are various people that will sell you a Lada Niva in both Queens and NJ???!!!

I think that’s exactly the right point / question. What I say next all comes down to local and state laws, but that car doesn’t look save or legal to operate on a public road or highway and I’m sure if a cop saw it coming down the road he’d have the power to stop it and require it be towed and not driven any further.

As someone who works in parts at a VW dealer, all I can say is please, please strip your TDI’s before turning them in! Guess who’s going to get to turn a profit selling all those missing parts back to Volkswagen?!

Skoda 130R of course!

I can’t co-sign that I think the Cherokee is a good vehicle at all, but I’m right there with you on everything else. My own opinions of the Cherokee aside, from a sales point of view you are correct.

So this is an article that is about Jeremy Clarkson dong what Jeremy Clarkson always does, but because it’s about electric cars and not his opinion on a BMW or flappy paddles it’s noteworthy???

I LOVE that you wanted to write and article like this! I also really want to know what he ends up choosing; if you ever know the answer please share it with us.

Offer very affordable AWD on those midsized family cars and buyers will return. I know Americans love their CUV/SUV’s and there are some people who wouldn’t buy anything else. However, I know plenty of people who went the CUV/SUV route simply because they felt their car MUST have AWD. In a not unrelated note, if VW

That’s pretty much the same response I got from Ford’s customer service myself when I was having issues with my new ST and one of their dealers back in 2013. Car came with the drivers door not quite hung properly and had crazy wind noise on the highway. Of course I took it back (had under 100 miles on it,) for
