I agree with you, I was just hazarding a guess as to why they don't integrate it into the dash like the Japanese, Americans etc seem to do.

I just want a real stick, I just want a real stick, I just want a real stick.

I've had the same thought lately, it seems the Germans are hanging onto it. My guess? Because when stowed it keeps the "design" of the dash / interior.

I have been to India and it makes total sense in the context of the country. (As in it defies all logic and common sense.)

I stand corrected.

Wait, wait... your saying that isn't how the cars come already. They are taller? Oh why did you turn!

Did you feel that?! VhhhhheeeeeeeeTaaaaaaaKKKKKKKKKKK

Yeah, I'm fairly convinced "couple small things" includes the t-belt as well as probably something unexpected, and possibly electrical. Nobody who ever actually wants to sell a car leaves "a couple of small things" undone if that's all they really are.

I just don't understand what you guys are all complaining about, it's got the "i-VTEC" behind (or on, coupe) the door.

You maybe right, I'm not a tech, but I work at a dealer so obviously our techs want to use the factory tools.

I just watched one of our techs do a T-bet etc. on a 2004 allroad. That 2.7 T is basically the same belt setup as the 2.8. You need to a special tool to hold the cam gears in place and one to pull the belt, anyway, it's not impossible, but far from easy. Also the coolant temp sender is in the back of the motor...

He's dumping it just before some major maintenance is due (timing belt, water pump, tensioner, serp belt, coolant sender etc.) Factory recommended is 120k for the T-belt, and I'm willing to bet he hasn't done that. I'm also willing to bet the SC has to come off for that. And then, it's just the right age for many

I don't know, my understanding is that John Hugenholtz very much designed Suzuka. He designed it to have one of every type of corner. (He also designed Zandvoort earlier in his career.) I think the point is there are designers who work with the natural landscape and ones who over-design everything including creating

Maybe not original, maybe e36, but yes I'm with you here.

Unfortunately, I needed the hatch sized trunk and real back seat (and the "extra" doors work for me too.) Also, the car the ST replaced was my '09 Si which was taken by Sandy, and frankly I've done the "No, this car that is really about handling and driving, not just about power." And I wanted something more vigorous,

Your right about the build quality issues. In addition to my own problems I've read about one guy who's car had the sunroof drain exiting into the left rear passengers footwell. Ford didn't want to replace that car, which I find amazing. Since it's the internet I don't know what happened ultimately. There have also

Yes. And I'm the only one having problems. Do some research, it's not that the cars are total junk, (however, I think to have poor fitting doors go though production is pretty bad,) but you will find that most people are rather frustrated at how their problems are handled when they have them. (By the was there are

Yeah, I think it's more than one. I also think it's the manufacture's handling of the issue that is important. I mean Ford has me feeling I'm totally on my own, even though I call them and ask them for help working it out. I have no idea why they want me to have such a negative experience with their product instead of

I bought a 2013 ST. It came from the factory with a misaligned, drivers door. Didn't pass the water/air leak test when I bought it into the dealer at 100 miles. It's never been right. The dash has been out 2 twice. Because that my interior is all jacked, missing hardware, clips and fasteners. It's scratched up (ok

Black Hole tight.
