I love Rick & Morty.
I love Rick & Morty.
This last season which AV Club completely ignored was actually one of the best in years.
Solar Opposites is underrated, IMO. More people should check it out.
The show hits much better as long as you recognize that, as it unfolds, it’s very clear that Rick is *not* a hero; he’s pitiable, not admirable.
I mean you still can. Right now he is only accused of a crime and not actually found guilty. Plus a lot of non-terrible people work on that show as well.
Man, just yesterday I was thinking, “Hm, maybe it’s finally time to check out Rick and Morty.”
not a single mention of the isotope in question
Seems to me a responsible step would be to amend building codes to require installation of vent hoods that automatically switch on when the gas burners are turned on, and offer rebate subsidies for purchase and installation of automatic vent hoods to existing homes with gas burners.
I am not asthmatic, my partner is not asthmatic, we are never having children. One of the things we most enjoy doing together is cooking, and we both hate electric ranges. I think which type of stove you have should be a choice, just like having children is a choice.
Besides, just because I can get a nice sear with a gas range, is that advantage worth the risk we present to ourselves, our (increasingly asthmatic!) children, our homes, and our environment every day by streaming natural gas directly into our kitchens?
Yeah, basically that. There’s still some commenters here I appreciate, so it’s worth seeing what they write. And also inertia.
I’m not surprised. I liked Workaholics but it wasn’t the kind of a hits-all-the-demos show that you need to have to get renewed/made in this late-stage capitalism hellscape we live in.
Yeah, but time isn’t.
False dichotomy there, eh? Empathy’s free.
I said above that some of them may even be “low” once you take into account cost of living and income taxes (CA being one of the higher states). That $280k top end of the first job listed would probably be more like $215k top end in Austin. Using a salary comparison tool, it’s way off (though, I suspect that the COL…
But.....by posting a range that covers multiple tiers, that allows them to hire a solid candidate who is in the lower Tier over a mediocre candidate in the top tier. When I hire, I hire more on potential and team fit than I do on years of experience.......if you’re willing to learn, I can mentor you on the things you…
But when the company posts the position, they know roughly what tier within a job family that position would fall into. Posting every available tier in a category is blatantly skirting the point of the law. If I were posting a “Software Engineering Team Lead” but posted the salary range of every leadership position…
I keep hearing good things about this show but never have it a watch. Maybe if I get some time over the holidays
The most American Yuletide drink ever! Imported from Europe!
The Lithuanians (also coal miners in PA.)call it Virytas and you just heat it enough to dissolve the honey into the 4 Roses, or else you’ll boil off the alcohol. My recipe is 1/5 of rye whiskey, about 1/2 cup of honey, 1 tablespoon of caraway seeds and around a dozen whole peppercorns. Lemon or orange peel is…
