You can watch the pilot on Hulu right now. It's pretty awesome.

Yeah, the presence of actors more commonly found in film than TV makes me hopeful that they won't try to stretch this out for a decade. But that hope is almost certainly unfounded.

I thought the pilot (which you can watch on Hulu) is actually really compelling.

The Deepwater Horizon analogy is apt, I think, because "It's fine, unless something goes catastrophically wrong, which is totally possible" is kind of the perfect argument for why we probably shouldn't be doing it in inhabited areas—especially when we're talking about areas that provide food and/or water to millions

Yeah, if the close-up of Greg the Peg's peg-leg at the end of the premiere failed to make that clear, certainly seeing all three of them without masks on this episode drove the point home.

And I'm sure that situation is never going to end badly for anyone involved.

Also, it completely strained credulity to me that Rory would ever let Amy go for ANY reason after guarding her for 2000 years, completely isolated and alone.

I purposefully avoided it, because I don't like to spoil my own fun.

I don't know, but they certainly played it as drama in last season's finale (and as kind of a rousing call to action or something at the end of this episode).
