I watched the pilot and was disappointed. I thought I'd check back in with this episode (because of Jane Espenson), and was still very disappointed. Are there better episodes between then and now, or does this show just suck?

Perhaps they're just saying that if you can remember a time not-too-long-ago when you were actually a slave, you've probably got a lot of pent-up anger.
