Given that Jennifer was facing a 2-on-1 disadvantage on skates, her even managing to break one of the assailants’ wrists (on top of her spirit with the “ashy knees” crack) might have been the best possible outcome.

That Kara wants to look for the good in Julia absolutely rings true to her character. But in order to inject some conflict into the episode, writers Jessica Queller and Paula Yoo wind up making Alex feel really out of character.

Props to Frost for just icing them on sight, though. She’s learning! 

Not gonna lie: early on I was a little disappointed (again, logistics be damned) that Kara didn’t put in a call to Caitlin/K-Frost and maybe even Gypsy. But the episode held together for me in the end. 

I will say, though: “Can we get her a better room?” was an absolutely Kara line. Only other person who would’ve offered that would’ve been Clark. 

Or, you know, some on-brand armor.
