That being said, Jay White had a bad match and Switchblade is destined to become “NJPW Bray Wyatt”.

I think in another promotion you run that risk. But the success of EVIL suggests that White will be protected. I thought it was a perfectly acceptable loss to acclimate fans to him as an upper-card character.

While I’m nowhere near ring shape, I can vouch for that program; I did it for about a year and it helped me get over some chronic shoulder and back pain.

I was actually surprised Omega got the duke here; my thought was that Jericho would cheat to win (because Eddie would) and you’d get Jericho/Omega II for the Long Beach show in March.

Jericho/Omega II, however, would be a suitable main event for the March show in Long Beach.

To be fair, Tanahashi has gotten to rest up far more than he would have if he were the WWE IC champ.

Nicely done. One x-factor, though, is that long-rumored US show that the Being The Elite cast is promoting. Depending on whether they want to do more than one event, maybe that’s where you do the formal breakup.

Thanks, Caroline, for putting in work on a holiday. And for noting that this episode didn’t give us more information about why Twelve was so insistent on dying. It always struck me as odd that he’d want to hang it up after the first life in a whole new regeneration cycle.

Yup. It was a lot closer to “meditative” than the show tends to get; certainly more so than Heaven Sent.

Just finished the Xmas special (don’t ask how) and I thought it held up alongside the two-part season finale rather well.

Oh no you weren’t. I never thought a height difference could be sensual, but my goodness.

They originally formed out of concern over ethics in Imperial journalism.

I am ALL IN on the Porg Cannibal Horror spinoff.

You know what came to mind after the scene with the kid and the broom? The moment in the Buffy finale when all the Potentials are fully energized.

One non-spoiler observation: I ended up enjoying the back-and-forth between Kylo and Hux this time out.

Oddly enough, Matt the Radar Tech struck me as cool.

And I said the same thing at each moment: ‘SHIPS AHOY!

I don’t know if it counts as a heel turn, but her becoming possessed by Mallus is certainly in play — as is the possibility of either Sara having to kill her or Sharpe sacrificing herself to save Sara.
