I agree with Timothy. You cannot simply say these things could never exist. There are just far too many possibilities you cannot predict. This is also why I can't stand when people debunk the possibility of easy transport to other planets. God knows what people could come up with in the future.

I think it's fair to say that because it's an older film, a lot of people have seen and therefore know the ending. However, I also think the ending of films should never be spoken of until you are sure everyone has seen it, or its placed in a spoiler tag/warning. I'm sure people would hate to hear the ending to films…
