I was once under the impression that Jalopnik is a site for car enthusiasts, but I slowly learned it’s actually a site for people who are enthusiastic about criticizing cars.

Honestly, after Deep Rock Galactic, derivatives of L4D have a high climb to be on the level. And so far this one seems rather generic.
I hope I’m wrong, but this did not look fun. Just multiples of the same enemies running at you over and over again while characters say really bland uninspired dialogue.
Dont get me wrong, it sucks but isn't it usual that early adopters pay higher for the privilege to play early? What I mean is these days most games can see at least a 10$ price decrease if you wait a few months. This is essentially a one year later GOTY bundle, a practice that has been around since the 2000's. I think…
I like Death Stranding, but a PS5 ($70 version) of a game I already own... is such a disappointing E3 announcement. This should be free to people who own Death Stranding and a PS5.
Eh, they’re gettable. I got mine on launch, my dad and brother got one last month, it’s not impossible.
Yep. I watched a friend fall down the rabbit hole, “get clean,” then relapse multiple times to devastating effect. The guy vanished from his social life and nearly torpedoed his career so he could keep up his raiding schedule.
Unfortunately much of the online gaming community has also turned into a toxic cesspool of hate. It used to be fun to play with other people online, now it’s just an endless stream of trolls trying to be as inflammatory as humanly possible.
World of Warcraft really has something insidious about it that creates an addiction loop as powerful as cocaine. I watched two kids in my freshman class go from honor students to dropouts playing WoW with the total self-destructive focus as the kids that got really into cocaine.
I got a PS5 the day after preorders went up, and the majority of friends who want a PS5 have them. I haven’t been able to get a GPU and don't know anyone who has that paid MSRP for one. Cards seem much harder to get than consoles, anecdotally.
Isn’t it pretty difficult to get current gen consoles as well? I think it’s a rough time to be a gamer looking to upgrade, regardless of platform.
I’m still rocking a 1080 so I’ll continue to do my “face down ass up” routine with low graphics settings to get high framerates ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
“What Did Fortnite Do To My Boy?”
The question on millions of parent’s minds.
Wow, that lobby music is abominable. Corporate hip-hop is brutal.
There are a few HUGE difficulty spikes in this game and they’re really frustrating. (I’m currently bashing my head against the 2nd biome midbosses - if you don’t have the right weapon for this they basically just murder you and there’s not a lot you can do about it).
It’s fun as hell, but if I had to restart from…
Digital Foundry reacts to the news realizing it now has to cover all 70 games.

120 FPS GOOSE CARNAGE!!!
Put all your personal nonsense aside. Company makes a game. It sold very well. Execs profit. That’s how business works.
