Good ole’ August 26. That is totally what day it is today.

No, I don’t think so. It is/was nice to have service recognized and respected when I returned home. Especially as I’m mindful of how poorly our Vietnam-era forebears were treated.

Sure is interesting how this gentleman, and most of the other veterans I know (myself included) have become this endangered species whose feelings and honor must be protected by the brave patriots in the bleachers and on twitter!

I don’t understand the people who voted for Trump but are suddenly NOW seeing the error of their ways. There is absolutely nothing that Trump has done that couldn’t have been easily predicted based on how he conducted himself during the campaign.

Any war with North Korea to remove Kim Jong Un would mean hundreds of thousands if not millions of dead. Advocating for this is reckless and immoral.

I am aware of that. I’m fully aware that “we” are not unique in the world—there are lots of western Democracies that enjoy levels of freedom comparable to ours. But I was born into this one, hence this is the one I’m most comfortable in.

I love this country. Even though we’re fucked up, and can’t seem to stop stepping on our own dicks for more than a few seconds at a time, it’s still better than living in a place where relative freedom is nonexistent.
