Yeah, definitely suffered from some serious bloat, and Mitchell seems a tad too enamored of his own world building — I had a hard time keeping track of all the minor Horologists and their assorted past lives, and their special lingo was cringe-inducing. But, like I said, his writing style hooks me and sustains his

Finished David Mitchell’s The Bone Clocks and have to say I was a tad…underwhelmed. I personally thought his lesser-regarded companion book Slade House was much better. But I dig his prose and his whole multiple-interconnected-first-persons-spanning-great-swathes of time thing, so it was still entertaining. Moved on

i love IPAs and even I'm sick to death of them.

I've always looked at this country as a wayward child with lots of potential who always ends up letting you down but you love him anyway.

The Dead Milkmen covered this topic years ago with their song about the perils of dating a gorilla.

Ha! Just thinking about that. I actually paid to see that horrible piece of crap in the movie theater. Though Furst and the nerdy guy were the only things I remember being even remotely funny, or memorable.

Clerks 1

That first video reconfirmed my decision not to watch any Tarentino movies after Jackie Brown.

Oh.

Sounds uncomfortable in inclement weather.

Well, they were for winter use, obviously. And they weren't too warm, they just didn't fit quite right.

Sure it's creepy but I'm not ashamed.
