Because it’s cheaper. As I posted in a reply below, AT&T tried to SLAM me into a current plan. It was almost double what I pay now. My bill is $54/mo. That is unlimited data and unlimited text. I don’t give a crap about tethering or hotspots, as I don’t use it for that.

But I don’t. I’m grandfathered in (with unlimited text). I pay $54/mo. I make about 6 minutes of calls per month (mostly to call a cab on Saturday night or order lunch on Wednesdays). I have incoming calls disabled and use Teams or Gchat to do what little talking I need to do. My phone is a “phone” in name only. It’s

At least 1.  I still have mine.

Maybe because they are the News... emphasis on “New”.  Climate change may be extremely important (spoiler: it is), but it’s hardly new.

None. The answer is none. I don’t fly (medical issues). I drive everywhere. I did a 22hr drive (each way) to Orlando/Tampa last year. The day spent driving is part of the vacation. It’s relaxing and I all interactions with people during those 2 days are kept to an absolute bare minimum, which is a bonus.

I was able to watch it on my Kubuntu machines no problem.  Just set Ktorrent to download it and play it DRM free.

The answer is:
(if your age > 40): It’s rude and the writer is the asshole.
(if your age < 35): It’s normal and the cashier is the asshole
(Else): Both people are probably assholes

fair enough on the Rian Johnson ones. I missed that they were no longer in development.

I’ve aged long past the age where social media being any sort of reference material for jobs. I’m not a boomer, but I’m at the point in my career where I don’t need to apply for jobs with a resume. People approach me with opportunities rather than me having to apply for them. I get that isn’t the case for most people,

It really does work well. I get that a lot of people (like, nearly all of them) like pictures to commemorate events, but they really annoy me. I’ve found that offering to take the picture seems to work way better than being anti-social.
