Not so Joe in Cincinnati could strip every possible piece off the car (that by the way, was presumably on his car at the date of the settlement) and try

It’s hard to account for the lowest common denominator.

In stripping your TDI, you’re not getting back at the executives and engineers who deliberately deceived you. You’re just making life shitty for people way down the VW food chain who do the grunt work.

I think they shouldn’t. Fuck those bad faith actors. They should have to put it back together.
