I dont think any steam event was as brilliant as the potatoe event way back win. If I remember correctly it was 13 indie games that had a specific acheievemnt tied to it. Unlocked items trading items, etc.

You are remembering that correctly. It was fortnite, and I believe it lasted for 24-36 hours before they shut it down. I still believe they did it on purpose.
