LOTRO is having some kind of ‘big announcement’ in a couple of days at the toy fair. Maybe this will be in there.

I’m kind of surprise that there was no specific mention, or investigating related to, the impact on Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) MMO. This game is still going (relatively) strong and rumors around a sequel or remaster or remake are constantly circling.
There is a hunger for a new(ish) LOTR MMO. The IP is just soooo…
Yeah, people look at an infographic of Embracer’s acquisitions and it looks CRAZY, being like four times as big as something like TakeTwo, but all of TakeTwo’s properties are big names, while a huge chunk of Embracer’s are... I’d hesitate to say ‘bargain bin’, but you get what I mean. A lot of stuff you only sorta…
The Lord of the Rings thing is pretty surprising. If WB wasn’t in a death spiral, I’d have to imagine they would have snapped up the rights.
Don’t forget cool trench coat inventory mechanic
Exactly. At the time, it made me feel like in next-gen video games, anything would be possible...
Absolutely, that game holds a special place in my heart. One of the very few survival horror games that really made me think about my approach to things. The fire, breakage and combination system was ahead of its time.
I really wish that they’d give those mechanics another chance.
Really, what other game would let you,…
THQ Nordic really needs to remaster the Inferno edition of AITD 2008 and release it on modern platforms. The version that’s available on Steam is pretty broken.
Alone in the Dark 08 is a very underrated and ambitious game I think. More people should play it. It had amazing physics, full featured 1st and 3rd person, drivable vehicles, semi-open world... It was close to being my ideal horror game and it was actually similar to the early concepts of Alan Wake, before it went…
He's a woman beater and a rapist who bit off someone's ear and they're not trying to show him as a "villain"?
Seriously — this woman carried on a 3-year abuse of a child, then tried to gaslight the situation by saying HE was harassing HER. So glad that backfired on her and her face is plastered all over news sites. I hope she does get real therapy, and I hope the now-teen victim does as well.
“ People are tired of our product so lets make more of that product “ isn’t the dumbest business decision I’ve heard, but it ranks pretty high up there.
“Huh, maybe after a decade and a half audiences have grown tired of the same old thing and want new experiences.”
Why are you hoping they block the acquisition?
I feel that episodes like "Fly"really distinguished the viewers who loved Breaking Bad for its complexities and depth of character development from the ones who who only watched it for its "Wtf holy shit!" moments.
Living in the UK where Breaking Bad was not shown on TV I saw all five series on DVD and only now am…
That moment had nothing to do with breaking the 4th wall. Not understanding that shows a complete misunderstanding of the show's overall themes of morality and fate. Also, the fly isn't a direct symbol as much as it is a way for Walt to let his emotions out. haven't you ever done anything like that? Freaked out over…
Let's hear it for Aaron Paul
He was outstanding this week. The scene with Jane in the cold open, with Andrea when he was talking her out of using, and at the end with Tomas. Not to mention the comic scenes with Badger and Skinny Pete. Just good stuff the whole hour.
wow
This episode was structured like a one act play. It was one of the most unique episodes of television I've ever seen. Open your minds!
This post is the definition of nit-picking.
