So, if you’d toured the CDC and then asked ‘why the anti-vaxxers say autism, must be some truth, yo?’, would you still not be able to judge?

Probably more true than I care to admit. I’m already on a watch list for doing my own maintenance.

Ah, yes, my mistake. I assumed Disco. The truly original Land Rovers are few and far between here, and priced as if made of gold.

As long as you have an endless supply of Rover head gaskets, sure. I’m happy with my apparently indestructible LR4 (indestructible as long as I don’t put anything other than Chevron or Shell premium. Anything less - like ARCO premium - and it throws an engine code).

Hold on here - since when has Southwest EVER had blankets or pillows on a flight? Anytime I get a blanket (I fly American more often than anyone else) it’s in a sealed plastic bag, so I can be pretty sure it hasn’t been used, unless you believe the cleaning crew has a Seal-A-Meal handy.

A quick review of available videos and DIY articles suggest that 99% of these folks don’t know the difference between “stripers” and “strippers”. Perhaps those fumes ARE dangerous...

Also, why can I not load an image of said Snorlax?

Why am I suddenly thinking of Snorlax?

Agreed. I have no plans to give up my 2012 LR4 unless a) it decides to completely die and can not be resuscitated and/or b) Defender arrives with a reasonable replacement for the 5.0 V8's torque.

Actually, it looks like a new Discovery4. Or what the Discovery5 should have been. But you’d know this if you had any of the other countless spy shots showing virtually every detail that have been around the interwebz for days. The 3 door is quite fetching, but will be in line for the 5 door.

In other news: sky blue, tree pretty.

So I guess that means the Mercury Mariner moniker will be revived for the MKC/Escape redux, but my vote for an all electric version would be Conductor. Get it? Get it? >wink, wink<

Needs more gaping maw.

Well, if Land Rover can drop the Discovery 5 on us without irony, I guess Honda can duplicate the Discovery Sport and call it a Passport.

As long as we’re not all stuck with Nissan’s painful CVT.

The first 1500 motors were single carbed.

I’ve always understood that there were hatchback prototypes of the Fastback but they could not overcome the noise, heat and dust ingress issues so left it with the mail slot trunk.

re: “Luxury” in autos. Frankly, I have argued in many a forum over what this means now. The cynical will say it’s just a badge, since you can spend $80K on a pickup truck now without breaking a sweat. It used to mean a spiffy interior with power goodies but those are table stakes now. It also meant the bigger motor,

Bought a brand new Dodge Ram 1500. It was my first car (other than rentals) with a backup camera. Didn’t know it was just a camera and that it didn’t include any warning beyond the other car’s bumper getting bigger and bigger in said camera.
