That gyrostart sounds great, too. It winds up before starting, so it really does sound like a mini helicopter.

If you’ve finished the game, the DLC will start at your last save before you fought Ganon in Hyrule Castle. Otherwise, it won’t unlock until you’ve freed all four Divine Beasts.

There are a ton of puzzle shrines, though. Keep looking and you’ll find them. And the DLC is all puzzles.
