The way these people talk about the eventual children as like “yeah just give it to someone idk” is concerning too. If that is the *choice* of a parent, I fully support that, but it just seems so flippant to have that little consideration for the gravity of going forward with creating a human child. “Give it to

Uhhh, oh fuckin’ well?

Same. Romo is the only person I don’t just tune out while I’m watching. Everyone else is generally (1) not helpful or interesting, (2) a patronizing blowhard. I feel like I’m watching the game with an excited friend who knows a lot, and we are talking about the game together (I know this sounds lame but I’m all about

Oh ho ho ho or she will skip the thing, it won’t get done, and then will be attributed to her being lazy/inept/etc.

I disagree, because this isn’t just about “when life begins” it is about whether we value body autonomy.

someone needs to be the hero of my day and find that quote from a senator or rep where they blatantly admit ON CAMERA that yeah, some women will die with limited access to abortions, and that is okay. It was pretty recently. ARGH and i cannot find it.

And honestly I do personally value that woman’s decision, but I am pretty consistently concerned about the culture of glorifying the idea of the martyr woman who gives her life for her pregnancy and how that impacts the choices women are making (so, are they really making a choice on their own or are they being made

and edited my post to note that I had gotten “I shine a light” and “The mighty bore” mixed up!

“First, it’s not illegal to be a dick whether he was being one or not.”

Yeah that is not a “goofy grin” that is a “my daddy is a lawyer and I can do what I want to/at you” smirk if I’ve ever seen one.

but.... the adult drummer was just singing and drumming.... He didn’t do anything remotely aggressive (and yes, I watched the long cut). If they are grown enough to come and protest (against the bodily autonomy of women, no less) they are grown enough to engage with other protesters.

The thing is, their subsequent behavior should have been known to be aggressive no matter where they are from (which is an argument I do not completely buy, but for reasons I don’t have time to lay out thoughtfully atm). I’ve never been on the receiving end of racism, but I’ve been on the receiving end of similar

Per my understanding of the story, that kid’s family doxxed him themselves through a prepared response statement.

I saw the long cut of the video the first time I heard of this story, and watched the whole thing. It was pretty clear to me what was going on, and insulting when it was later implied I hadn’t seen what I had seen because I’d apparently (according to others) watched a short version I didn’t know existed on twitter

I work closely with drug and medical device companies. They’re not conspiracy theories. It’s how these companies operate.

It’s probably killing me slowly some other way but I use the stick variety of antiperspirant for areas prone to chafing instead of talc or cornstarch. Works better for me! I had an ex who would literally use boxed cornstarch (like the kind from our kitchen pantry) for this.

It doesn’t matter what Christians are told, that gives them no more right to do so, it just means they are systematically and intentionally garbage. He went there with the active purpose of following in the footsteps of his Christian forebears and annihilating their culture and most likely in the end their people as

He always passes the ball to the ref.

Yeah the first article I read on this interview actually framed Larry’s words about his son missing the game as being mostly tongue-in-cheek.

I think the headline is a joke my dude.
