I take your point. It shouldn’t be difficult for anyone to vote. I live in a highly populous area and have never experienced a line at the polling station. I would think that places with more people would have the lines and the more sparsely populated places would be less crowded. If my district can do it I don’t

I don’t understand this notion that voting is hard. Maybe I’m the exception, but it’s ridiculously easy for me at least. I get up 15 minutes earlier than I usually do, walk two blocks to my polling place, sign in & vote on the machine. Then head to work. Even today, which was the busiest I’ve ever seen my polling

I dunno... I was prepared for the worst when all the early doom & gloom reports came out. But I have to say, while it really was a poor adaptation of the books, on it’s own it was a pretty decent movie. I actually liked it.

I think he’s confusing “you are not allowed” with “I don’t want to be made to feel ashamed when I express my shameful opinions”.

    Unforeseen consequences indeed.

TiVo is superior to any of the streaming boxes in the level of control and responsiveness you get over the playback of content. Just try and jump around, fast forward, pause and step yourself through single frames with any of the streaming services and it’s an exercise in frustration. But TiVo makes that stuff

    Yes! THIS!

You’re clearly involved in the whole conspiracy to cover up the truth. ;)

Oh. I guess expecting ubiquitous cell service in the middle of the wilderness is reasonable.

What did people in the national parks do before cell phones?

Is it me or is this piece leaps and bounds better than most of the stuff on Gizmodo lately? I thought I was reading a different news site at first. Way to go Maddie! Keep up this level of journalism and hopefully it will inspire the other writers at Gizmodo to elevate their work too.

You clearly know nothing about the vast empty spaces between NYC and LA that lots of people inhabit.

You damn kids! *shakes fist* Stop doing that thing that I’m afraid of and don’t understand!

Actually, the German is also American.

Yeah, but how do you feel about Keurig machines?

Uhh.. people thought this wasn’t staged?

Actually, they did give Apple the option to do all of this at an Apple facility so they can maintain control of the software at all times:

The FBI’s request calls for Apple to create a version of the OS that will only run in memory and be tied only to that specific iPhone’s unique hardware ID. They also suggest that Apple can hold the iPhone in their own facility, load the new OS on it & give the FBI access remotely, so the software never leaves Apple’s
