I agree with everything in this story except:

I’ve found that lifting slower (you’ll most likely have to lower the amount of weight you’re lifting) is less likely to cause injury. By lifting slower you’re relying more on your muscles versus your quick twitch ligaments that are more likely to strain, sprain or tear.

When I slow down I force myself more to think

After writing this he pitched a scoreless ninth today; he just gives them a better option a seventh inning guy (vs Loup, Hendricks or Cecil). I think he’s legit, and if there’s a team that knows about late bloomers, it’s the team with Bautista and Encarnacion.
