A friend of mine on the force in San Francisco has come out publicly against the Buffalo PD’s riot squad’s behavior.

The protest I was at Saturday in Portland, which involved no rioting or violence ended being dispersed by flash bang grenades and police in riot gear. No matter how many cops you see kneeling or hugging protesters, American policing exists to harass, maim and detain people they see as undesirable.

Oh man I really hope they do all call in sick and then nothing happens, making it clear it was the police that were escalating most of the time. 

In addition to the transphobia, you’d think a 54 year old would be acutely aware that not all cis-women menstruate.
