Eh, they could keep them in spirit. Lots of brands have simplified their logo, nothing new.

The logo is ok, but the tri-color clashes and sticks out. If I were a graphic designer in charge of Buick, I’d go for a mono-tone version to be more cohesive, and a blackout option (trim and all, but I got lazy with the photoshop).

Images listed below: 1) untouched 2) monotone 3) blackout

China and elderly?

GM recommends lifting the cord slightly to relieve pressure during the 45 second initialization period, meanwhile Tesla just plugs in and works in 3 seconds.

Oh for sure, you’ll get locked into a routine. I dont take too many routine trips, but even when I do in my PHEV I have my favorite gas stations (gotta get that nitro cold brew!)

I wish everyone would adopt the Tesla port instead of the J1772/CCS standard, its far more compact, works better, less weight on the charge port (thinner cable), and is the same for L1/L2/L3.

I swear you guys pick the worst possible cover pics for these stories just so we come out to tell you you’re wrong.. Well, it worked, knock it off. The FF is fine, same goes for the RS500, you guys may need thicker lenses.

I just drove mine from LA>Tahoe>Steamboat>Denver>Chicago for ~2800 miles, and I found charging to be worse on paper than in practice. Meaning, I saw that it add ~6 hrs of charging and groaned, but realized that most of my stops after 2-2.5 hrs ended up taking the same as the car, sometimes more (meals). I kind of like

Your judgement and reasoning is sound, but why not both (assuming you’re married of course? (My garage: Model 3 / Outlander PHEV)

Well then Mazda made the transition as smooth as possible, keeping expectations.

Mine was the 4 banger.

Not sure if I agree, my B2200 failed with the typical head gasket which cracked the head. This happened 2 months after buying the used truck in high school. Knowing now how frequent the head gaskets fail on the ol’ Danger Ranger, it was no wonder mine did as well.

Inspection is not maintenance, but I take your point. Many things need to be inspected, but not much needs to be done by 150k miles. Yes, sure, cabin air filter, you win. I stand by my $150.

And from a guy who’s actually owned several EVs, brakes last ~125-150k miles, which is longer than most vehicles are on the

The owners manual literally says “rotate the tires and do brake fluid flushes for the first 150k miles”. You’re saying maintenance when you really mean repairs.

Brakes will outlast the car, EVs use regen to stop. All the suspension parts only need to be replaced when they go bad, you dont do preventative suspension

The greater good of keeping my carbon footprint low is worth it despite the insufferable behavior of Elon, or the image of driving his cars. I’ve slogged through winters driving my Bolt, and if I have to drive more than 200 miles I just take a gas car. The range goes from 258 > 180 miles and charging takes 1.5 hrs in

You have many valid points, but the tradeoff is worth it.

With the recent price drops, you’d be cutting off your nose to spite your face. Elon sucks, but dont let that determine which car you own.

1) Batteries/motors/charging is covered by the Voltec 10yr/100k warranty that restarts at the time of new battery installation (which was very recent).

2) EVs really do require zero maintenance. We’re talking rotate your tires up until 150k miles, and thats about it. Maybe you’re thinking brake fluid flush? How many

Just sold my Bolt, bought a Model 3 and road tripped it 2500 miles. Tesla’s OS already uses Google, but also peppers in your car’s battery SOC/health/temp/automatic preconditioning/speed/past behavior/elevation/wind/hvac/etc.. and spits out an incredibly reliable map with charging options showing cost/specific amenitie

For me, its his cartoonish delivery paired with a early-pubertarian voice crack that should be coming from a cookie eating or trash-can lurking muppet.
