Gets water from panel gaps and behind trim, head/tail lights, door/trunk gaps, mirrors so water doesn’t drip out and muck up your newly washed car. Some people use air compressors, but I ditched mine in favor of battery tools.

I like my electric leaf blower approach: effective at both clearing snow from my car and confusing my neighbors. Also works for drying. You’re welcome.

It must be the worst in a crowded segment. An EV would stand out/sell out. Its not a bad car, just that it wasn’t as good. Thats typical of most cars these days, everything is good compared to 20 years ago (in a very basic sense). Not here to debate fun.

Fiesta-based crossover would actually do really well, if it had AWD (which should be easy). Crossovers are selling, especially compacts. Regular compact cars aren’t.

NP because: inspection

Its basically a Jeep at that point, which isn’t a bad thing. The soft top was an emergency backup for being caught in the rain anyways.

I road tripped with wife/boys and camped for 24 days straight: Chicago>Nebraska>Great Salt Lake>Tahoe>SF Bay>Rincon Beach>Grand Canyon>Moab>Neb. We ended the trip telling the boys (8/10) that the last camp site *might* have a pond to swim in, but it was a water park/hotel. Incredibly, zero divorces resulted from this

I went from 19 mpg to 12mpg (37% loss) in the dead of Iowa winter (local driving only) in my Hyundai Veracruz, zero highway over the course of 1000 miles. ICE range loss is a thing that no one notices.

The Chevy Bolt range loss is spot on, I go from 260 mi to exactly 180 in the dead of winter, with 4 passengers, 70mph, heat/AC (defrost) set at 70f, driving in 20f weather.

Anyone else thing its weird he signed the dash of his own personal car? I’d like to think he rushed to his pen in the last weeks of his life in hopes of increasing his kid’s inheritance.

It’ll be the best 6 weeks of your life!

I was talking about the transmission, but I see your point

“The acceleration is too smooth and quiet”

The only place L2 belongs are at home and work. They’re next to useless for 20-40 minute stops.

No kidding. I actually have 3 150kw DCFC in my area, NONE are currently working. My wife has a 200 mile trip today and has to stop at a dealership just to make it home. All the Greenlots (Shell Recharge), and Chargepoint stations within a 2 hour radius have been down for 6-12 months. Dealerships are the ONLY option,

Oh, Joe Junior..

If the chargers/cars are modern, we’re talking 18 minutes of charging or less. I would love to stop at a dealership for a cup of coffee and a quick piss, maybe check out whatever’s on the showroom floor. The rollout would be quicker than the backlogged bureaucratic highway charging that’s already been paid for. Where

At least you’re self-aware, most people think they’re charming. I’ve got one of those polarizing personalities as well, cant please everyone I guess.

If you’ve ever listened to the Autoblog podcast, you could do the same with Greg Migliore over/misuse of the phrase “if you will”. He’s the absolute worst, which is a shame, that used to be a fantastic pod to listen to while wrenching.
