Zero accidents, battery swapped, and I really could care less about proving anything further for you. I could post a carfax and you’d still call me a liar. There were more than one available when I shopped. A dealer had a battery swapped Premier with 65k miles with one minor side swipe accident for $18k, which I

They got rid of all the character and quirkiness in the F56 like center speedo and window switch toggles. The scared shitless fish-face was enough to steer me away. Terrible reviews confirmed, and now there’s no manual.. Maybe an EV version if they can redesign it.

I dunno, get a loan? There’s a difference between “poor” and “not rich” by the way. I think most middle class people can swing $18k for a car since the average transaction price is WAY more.

Look harder? I found mine on Facebook marketplace for $19k in January, LT with all options and very low miles.

Hahaha, thats hilarious! Your choice of words is exactly what I said to my wife when our R53 JCW was in for service and they gave me an R56 era clubman. I thought all the feeling was gone, and everything was rounded out. Could be coming from a JCW to the standard S Clubman, but it was terrible. Mainly, the N14 engine

the only people buying BEVs right now are relatively rich people

I’d agree, more Volts than Bolts. Volt is a PHEV, so I didnt count it.

R56-F56 era was bleak.

You’re conflating “poor” with “not rich”. I’m squarely middle class and had no issues buying an EV.

1st, GM pays for it. 2nd, just about every EV manufacturer has had battery fire issues needing a recall.

Did you pay more than $14k?

I paid $19k for mine back in January, 29k miles and flawless condition.

Cool.

I see WAY more Bolts than any other EV combined, save for Tesla of course.

I flew from Chicago to Atlanta to buy a mint R53 JCW Cooper S w/ (one owner) 28k miles for $8k from a Mini dealership back in 2019. Called, talked to a tech who checked it out, got all service records and made an offer/paid via credit card over the phone. They emailed me all docs, and it took 20 min. When I arrived,

No, not rich people. A used Bolt is only $18k-20k and other older tech city cars are sub $10k.

Yes, and no more free peanuts at bars unless you also mandate pretzels too. Wait till the big cheese-doodle lobby catches on..

Nothing Republicans love more than regulating private businesses, ammirite? Totally on brand.

This should shake up the absurd used EV market, if they can scale it up. As of now, there’s plenty of new Bolts available for sale in my small Midwestern city.

First, every EV maker has had fire issues with batteries. Second, many ICEs have had the same issues, including Ford’s “cars can catch fire even when off..” problems. Dont even get me started on the rate in which EVs catch fire vs ICE.
