Fedex got Rivian trucks in action in very short order, and the US Govt has far more vehicles needed, meaning there’s greater incentive to win the contract. If Rivian get do it, GM or Ford sure could too, by the end of the decade.

What difference would it make if it took 4 years or 10? The R&D starts today, which

Pretty good for 1985, but my car gives me exact % and I can see it on my dash or phone.

Very cool, now do this to a Chevy Bolt.

Wait, there was a donor Touareg with a working motor? Am I thinking of a different Touareg engine or was this the wildly unreliable one?

And HD has now come full circle. This E-bike has got to be the closest thing they’ve made to their original bike.

Its all about your reputation and the connections you make. My school emphasized networking as much as any other skill. That guy who hooked me up w/ Sports Illustrated? I asked around what he drank and got him a $100 bottle of scotch (yes, while in school).

If you dont know anyone at a certain organization, be

I’ve heard this argument about every highly sought out industry in America.. and guess what? You’re correct. I’ve been in photojournalism for 20 years, and its the same thing.

There’s always an exception to the rule, but statistically, you are an anomaly. As far as brake fluid and coolant, those are like 100k mile maintenance items vs fluids every 7k miles.

You can literally go 5 years w/out doing any maintenance.

CO, lol

Flagship S-Class isn’t exactly your average car. I’m more or less talking daily drivers for your average commuter, I should have been more specific.

I’m talking daily drivers. I literally had a dream the other night (not the first one this month) that I was driving a 90s Japanese RWD 6-speed, and I woke up empty and disappointed.

Sure, lets all go out and buy Audi A8s, brb.

Driving one > being a passenger

I’m more or less talking about a daily driver, I still like ICEs. I’d like to get another Jeep CJ5 again, but as far as your normal commuter, no question which one I’d rather have.

I’m guessing you’ve driven exactly zero EVs before, just a hunch.

“... that no one has ever heard of”...

I own a Bolt and the next EV I buy will be AWD full stop.

Wow, aside from having AWD, I dont see the point. As a Bolt owner, maybe I’ll just lift my current ride.

Once you get used to the lack of maintenance, torque and quiet ride everything else seems very sub par. Every time I get in an ICE they always seem buzzy and slow.

Not true in California, the largest EV buying state. My brother earns 100k+ can easily afford an EV and is very content in his condo which wont allow EV charging. Not everyone is married w/ kids, not everyone wants or can afford a house. He’s been saving for years to buy one, but the *starting* price is $600k for a

Public charging can also mean street parking for apartment dwellers, who are normally forced out of the EV market because of no place to park. Every street light has the wiring to add a 220v Level 2 station for little money. If you give people zero excuses they will buy EVs.
