Yes, but the % of people rapid charging on any given day is a tiny number. Most are charging at night, and the few people who are road tripping/DCFC in daylight wont overload the system.

Even so, the use of public during the day will be pretty low when most people are “filling up” at night. Daytime charging in public is mostly topping off or DC fast charging for longer trips, but those are the minority.

Charging needs to go in the following locations:

Thats a false assumption, there have been plenty of studies proving it can easily handle EVs. Most charge overnight.

I wonder how satisfying of a ride it is with that transmission. Thanks for the explanation, I thought it might have to do with the separate engines.

Nope, it looks too modern.

Please be electrified.

Wondering if there was an engineering choice to go automatic. This vintage slush box must be terrible if stock. Did I miss it in the story somewhere? Coffee just started brewing..

Fox Valley VW in St. Charles - fantastic service. When shopping I found one in Cicero for a similar price, but didn’t like the tone over the phone. Laughably bad manners, sounded like I annoyed them by asking about a car while they ate a sandwich during the call.

You cant currently buy a ‘17-’19 from most chevy

Im in Iowa on the Wisconsin-Illinois border, not much Minnesota experience. Its mostly the rural Wisconsin and Illinois isn’t much better. Once I enter Madison, I become the country-bumpkin who cant handle 3 lane roundabouts.

It’d be great if it could highlight Wisconsin plates so you have advanced warning of lane changes w/out signal and driving 15mph under limit, and driving between lanes due to DUI.

DC is the fastest way to charge - It’ll get the Bolt to 80% in ~60 min on average or 100 miles in 30 min. L2 takes 9 hours (32a @220v). If you have a free DCFC nearby thats never in use I would strongly consider buying a Bolt. You could easily charge there daily. I’m really curious what town you live in.

I drive 30-40

A free charger 4 blocks from your apartment? Sweet! Level 2 or DCFC? If they have a DC at your Chevy dealer, and you own a Bolt they will definitely let you charge for free whenever you want - Its one of the perks of owning a Bolt.

If you’re paying $30/mo in gas, then you’d spend $10 in electricity on average. The more you drive, the more you save - EVs really make sense for those w/ a commute of 40 miles+ per day.

Its a tough sell if you’re in an apartment.. You’d have to crunch the numbers based on charging rates.

Check your local Chevy dealership for free chargers - I charge at mine all the time, and go on a jog - 45-60 min later you’re close to 80%. Whats your location? Check Plugshare. You’d be surprised the number of new,

$30/mo before my solar was installed. In general, electricity is 1/3 the cost of gas. However, I have a ton of free DC fast charging stations in my area, so its much lower.

The discounts on ‘20-21 Bolts and lease returns are also pushing the used market WAY down - I just picked up a Premier (fully loaded) ‘17 Bolt for $15k in Chicago, and they’re $13-14k in LA, and you can get a base LT for $11k in LA.

I hope you got some of that action yesterday, it was a good day. Its been quiet for a few weeks, I’m expecting the trend to continue for a little while. Dont day trade, there will always bee selloffs close to end of day and the following day to take profits. Just buy and hang on for the ride.

I cant believe I sold
