It has that profile because of where the batteries are located. If you want a lower profile (like the Volt) then you need to put the batteries in the tunnel (like the Volt).

Personally, it way more comfortable to have the higher driver’s view, for the same reason so many folks like small SUVs.

17" is the biggest wheel I want in my life. Its a good balance between looks and practicality. Tires are expensive!!

af·ford·a·ble : inexpensive; reasonably priced.

The Bolt was first to launch, with a lower price by over $10k, and dealers heavily discounted due to the manufacturer incentives. When I manufacturer gives incentives, they do it because they want to lower the cost of the car. Ever without the incentives, the Model 3 didn’t come out with a comparably priced car for 2

The point is, they never offered a comparably affordable EV so the masses could afford it. The extra 100 miles is great, if you can afford it.

That is the stupidest rationale I’ve ever heard. By your logic, 911s are just as affordable as Honda Civics, depending on your bank account? This has to be parody.

Obviously, affordable applies to the masses, but if you want a sliding scale then put the word “most” in front of affordable.

Im not the most PC guy you’ll meet, but something about a company publicly calling out a group of people seems weird from a PR standpoint. Whats the difference between calling out old people vs women? It just wouldn’t happen.

Just a bizarre move to in general, but especially one that calls out your largest buying

You missed the keyword “affordable”, Bolts started at $37.5k vs Model 3 $48k. The 1st gen sub 80 mile EVs were niche, glorified city cars. I would argue the Bolt was the first affordable and practical replacement for an ICE, full stop.

I remember when the Bolt and Model 3 were introduced, I questioned: who would actually take a Bolt over a Model 3. Hands down, the Tesla was the one to own.

FF 4 years later, and though Tesla wanted the crown of the first affordable mass produced EV, the crown clearly goes to the Bolt.

For all you folks who say “what

Yes, free thinkers that march to the beat of a different drum. Some people call them.. Mavericks.

Holy shit, they really slammed that VW Bug unloading the ship at 15:00 mark.

The faster DC speeds are overblown anyways. Check out the charge time of the 75kw Niro vs the 50kw Bolt - its a difference of 10 min.

I know, that adds up on road trips, but still. Not as dramatic as I would have thought. Most EVs dont get peak charging speeds for long enough to make it really matter all that much.

If I owned a 2020, I would do the same, but even charging to 100% isn’t really close to full capacity. I couldn’t find any numbers on the web, but my Volt only lets you use ~11kWh out of 16kWh. GM engineers are famously too cautious (to their own detriment) and limit charging speeds, usable battery, and

Its a combo of a flood of lease returns (many fleets) and the huge discounts for new Bolts. I almost bought an LT last year for $22k for a non CPO at a Chevy dealership. 13 months later, I’m looking at Premium trim $15k for CPO (previously $25-28k)! I call that a win, and wont fret too much about 24 miles in reduced

My last couple BMWs had fake leather in several parts of the seat on cars had whatever premium leather packages. The bolsers were leather, but the sides, and upper back sections were fake. You can tell after a few years of ownership, it fades differently.

He’s an officer, which means he’s educated, making him far more likely to be a free thinker. I’m former military, its not a monolith. Personally, I avoided buying a second Jeep because of the recent image, so yes, its a thing.

No matter what you choose know that it costs $1000-1500 to ship a car from Long Beach>Honolulu or you can pay the significant markup in used car costs or a whopping $5k-10k increase in sticker on a new car.

LAW AND ORDER!!!
