$50k is expensive, even considering inflation. Wages have been stagnant for decades, which makes $50k really expensive for most. The cost of everything continues to rise, including housing, which my salary over the last 20 years has failed to catch up to.

Another way of thinking about it is 30k was only $20k in 2000. I did the math myself on the unveiling, because I’m still kicking myself for NOT getting a new base Wrangler before I had kids, back in 2006. Have you driven a modern Wrangler? It drives pretty much like a car based SUV. Small body on frame trucks like the Wrangler are pretty well sorted these days, its not like driving an 80's F150.

Two time parent here. Just store them under the trunk in the hide-away cargo area near the spare tire. It doesn’t get nearly as hot, and they last years. I just found a 2-3 year old package of wipes, it was fine. I live in the mid west, and it gets triple digits in the summer.
