Does the epoxy make the floor slippery when wet? I live in the mid west, and really dont want to fall on my ass after snow melts on the floor. Looks good, I’m inspired.

They dont have to stop wearing deodorant, just mandate Tom’s.

My god, how old is this fleet? Aren’t all 3 of these like 10 years old at least?

I drove an ‘08 R56 Cooper S Clubman (dealership loaner), and it felt like a Camry compared to my ‘04 R53 Cooper S. The R53 is really special, and I haven’t been able to pull the trigger on an R56, due to the cartoon interior and unreliable N14 engine. I actually like the exterior of the R56, and exhaust note.

The original R53 was a good deal ($19k), considering the raw feel and quirkiness. The JCW was never a good deal ($7k for 37HP), and the GP was kind of absurd when you consider what you could do with the same money in the aftermarket. It was, however, cool AF.

Its impossible to know if those are good deals or not without an out the door price or $ down + # years + interest rate. Giving monthly payments on expensive cars gives me 1/3 of the info needed.

New turbo at 77k miles? Foreshadowing of things to come.

Grandpa had a radar detector? I call bullshit.

I’ll agree that you have a point, but at this time and place when Trump raging a race war (just yesterday retweeting a video of someone yelling “white power”), I’m going to err on the side of not racist, because I’m personally embarrassed our country and our handing of most issues at the moment.

Also, every build I’ve seen hasn’t had thermal management. You need to keep your batteries warm/cool otherwise they wont last very long.

Thats all good advice for photography in general, not just automotive photographers. I was hoping for something more specific.

You know the confederate flag is on the general lee, right? The same should apply if you’re really into WWII planes and like rocking swastika livery.

Give it three days...

So 3% of the population is inconvenienced slightly so that about 40% of the population feels less threatened? I’m ok with that.

While I’m on the topic, anyone sporting a confederate flag who’s north of the mason dixon line cannot claim “heritage” and I will just assume you’re a racist asshole.

Top down while working with buzz saws, got it.

Wow, thats incredible. I have a 2 BR house and even on a day with no AC (and very conscious effort to shut off/not use lights) we’re still around 18-20kwh. I’ve installed power strips to catch all the vampire power suckers (TV, Xbox, phone chargers, ect.) and every single bulb is LED.

“The average home consumes about 9 kWh of power per day”

Where did you get this figure from? I’m a certified tight ass, and my usage is around 25 kwh/day. I’m pretty sure the US average is close to mine, if not more. After installing solar, I’ve been watching consumption closely.

Audi Allroad?

I dont want to get too far over my skis, but in some hatchbacks where the hazards/turn signals and/or brake lights are attached to the lid, they have redundant systems to function while the lid is open for safety.

2 leaks? I wonder if we’re talking “leaks after sitting in heavy downpour over night” or “leaks while commuting to work in ave rain”. I have a garage. I once owned an R52 Cooper S JCW which has a leaky soft top and it was a tad nerve racking.. I would get a drips while driving in any rain, so I’d carry a towel, and
