That’s true federally, the CDC does not charge nor does FEMA.  The panic going around about the cost of tests is because one guy, basically, ran right to an urgent care clinic and demanded a panel of tests and they dutifully ran them (probably because they were sick of arguing with him) and billed him for them

No he doesn’t. Trump has proven that the president can ignore both the House and the Senate and just do whatever he wants. Trump was impeached for abusing power, but the Senate cleared him of that, so any future Democrat president can use that trial as an defense. Since the Republicans cleared Trump, it shows they

You act as if black people aren’t aware that, in 30 years, your boy hasn’t written a single piece of successful legislation. In three decades, what has Sanders ever achieved? What has he ever done that improved the lives of black people?

These remind me a lot of a cookie my Polish great aunt used to make. She called them kolaches (sp?). Hers were always made with melted vanilla ice cream and filled with apricot preserves, and they were delicious.

I dunno how you left Dinty Moore Beef Stew off the list ... all this hipstery stuff and no dinty ... not a serious list.

Frozen peas are the way to go - canned peas are gross to me.

Well Parasite did win Best Picture. I think most of us who saw it before the Oscars thought it was a niche film. Now it’s popular, everyone is seeing it, and finally everyone wants to talk about it. I’d be happy to write a whole week of Parasite content just to have a chance to discuss it here in the comments.

Saw a version of this on Binging with Babish the other day where he compared Parasite’s version of jjapaguri to shaving black truffles onto a Big Mac.

I voted early for her in NC, she’s the only person still in that I actually want to be President, not just a vote against Trump.

I plan on voting for Warren in my state’s primaries. She’s the only one left I don’t shudder to think about pulling the lever for.

Elizabeth Warren is my preferred candidate, although I would happily vote for Bernie Sanders if he gets the nomination. She just has to keep on trucking. Stay progressive and keep at it. Over time, she will get the support she deserves.

This exactly. I love Warren. Was hoping she would run back in 2016. The caving in on health care was bad. The “leak” to CNN about Bernie’s supposed comments just before a debate also hosted by CNN was a sign of a larger character/judgement issues. It was desperate.

Two things can be true at once. She’s being erased and she made some huge missteps that torpedoed her campaign. My personal favorite was when she walked right into Trump’s trap and took that DNA test. For others, it was her waffling on Medicare for All.

Watch it now. Sundance runs it pretty constantly during Black History Month. Well, between all the reruns of Law and Order. It’s been on every weekend in February so far.

If you haven’t already, you should check out Warren’s plan to restore the power of labor unions in America. There’s a lot there (go figure that someone who takes notes with different-colored pens during an impeachment hearing would put together hyper-detailed policy proposals), but one detail I think is particularly

I wonder what it would be like if the G/O Media blogs had a blog that was just about politics, and which could maybe put together some kind of long-read article on this topic.

>Fervent supporters of Bernie Sanders, who is Warren’s closest ideological counterpart, will likely never switch their allegiance; they’re with him to the end and are uncompromising on the issue of Medicare for All.

I will never understand picking Sanders over Warren, but what do I know? (Not as much as I thought!!)

Thanks abbygirl47 but I cannot pull up the pic... maybe someday it will be "approved". Hope so. Drive safely.....
