100% fair. I always chalked that up to the 80/90s ethos of slapping together a quick movie on the cheap, stapling a popular name on it, and hoping it gets some eyeballs based on the name. I am optimistic of Stahelski’s involvement though - he is a guy who understands practical action scenes. And John Wick is somewhat

it seems to be wha thappens, when you literally cant trust any authorty on anything and are basically beliving all the conspiracies. the fact that its easily disproven is just inconvenient.

Literally, humans figured this out thousands of years ago.

Flat earthers are just barely rational and intelligent enough to grasp that religion is a lie. This deeply bothers them, so they need to prove that reason, and above all science itself, is false. If science is false - a gigantic conspiracy, likely led by Satan, and the earth is actually flat (as the bible suggests in

I’m surprised Discovery didn’t pick this up to put on The Learning Channel along with all the other cryptozoology and conspiracy shows they’ve polluted it with.

Folks, there are very few, to possibly zero, people who ACTUALLY believe the earth is flat. There are a LOT of people who do want to believe that there are, because it is always fun to think that lots of other people are stupider than you.

Sir Pterry is too good for them.

I think I’d rather see Star Trek: Legacy be made more than one about the academy in the 32nd century. Nothing against the actor, as I think he’s great. But this show seems like it’s already on wobbly legs regarding plot.

I think going with STSA is a mistake. A post-Picard show with Seven, the son of Picard, the daughter of LaForge and others would more interesting and more ST mainstream. This academy show is like BH90210 meets The Ark.

I don’t think there’s much enthusiasm for this show overall. Discovery lost a lot of momentum and I don’t think this project is inspiring a lot of confidence.

I’ve been hate watching the last 2 seasons of Disco as well but it feels like a writer issue, not so much the setting.

I think it’s a good idea to explore other eras though. I feel like Disco’s early problems (and some of Picard’s) occurred because they were playing in such a crowded era with all the restrictions of

Same here. We started watching Discovery because we were excited for Trek to be back in a series format and we finished it because we were going to see it through to the end. But I don’t see any reason to start a show with such little promise unless it’s getting wall to wall rave reviews.

Glad I’m not the only one who feels this way. That “Space Baby” episode left me cold. I gave up on the Jody Whitiker series about halfway through.

ARR, Mateys!”

That would make sense. Either an astronaut or someone awoken from cryogenic suspension in an underground facility.

She definately is an astronaut. They set this up in Rise when they very briefly show a tv playing the mission to Mars launching and then showing a news paper saying it was lost in space. Also, in this trailer they note that “she knows the human secrets”.

The follow-ups to The Forever War are somewhat all over the place; not in quality, but story. Some are directly connected, others take place in a different near future and far future.

Yup, Infinity war is the one I rewatch the most but Winter solider is the clear best movie.

I agree but stan for Endgame as well. But Endgame was only so good because it was a payoff for the long story before it. WS is the best because it stands mostly on it’s own. As much as any MCU project can be considered on it’s own...
