I love Murderbot, but yeah, Skarsgard is not the person who first comes to mind in playing the character. This may sound weird, but Skarsgard seems too tall for the role. Sec Units are described as having a very non-descript physical appearance so they don’t appear threatening to people.

It’s a pity, those episodes didn’t stay in the can.

You’re right. According to his IMDb page, he’s been acting consistently since 1981 in stuff no one’s ever heard of. But hey, it’s a pay check. I remember him from a 1984 movie called “The Philadelphia Experiment” which I liked at the time.

As someone who has seen the original Ghostbusters movie a gazillion times, I never ever got the sense it was meant to be a horror movie. I can see maybe it would have been scary for children, but since I first saw it as an adult, it was not scary and I believe being scary is the hallmark for a horror movie.

Since seeing Foundation, I now know who Ben Daniels is which makes seeing Interview even more interesting. I hope his role is significant.

None of this changes the fact that Comcast is a horrible company. It’s a shame they can’t invest more money into improving their customer service. That would help keep customers around.

I’m glad they were able to successfully substantiate the dating done earlier. Over the years there’s been a good number of sites in both North and South America strongly suggesting dates way before 14 to 16 K BP.

thx for posting.

Frankenstein: Legacy

Every time I think I’ve heard every near disaster story about the filming of The Abyss, out comes another one. That being said, I love the movie.

Another of her fantasy series you might want to take a look at is “The Books of Raksura”. The first book is called “The Cloud Roads”. The characters are mostly non-human in a post collapse of civilization world. I found the narrative easier to get into then Witch King.

To me, Martha Wells is a rockstar of a writer. I love her stuff. Witch King was a great book. Since I’ve read some of her earlier fantasy series, I had no problem getting into Witch King. It’s just a different type of narrative then Murderbot. Also I’m doing a re-read of the Murderbot series in anticipation of the

Mislabeled, I guess.

Exactly my thought too. Really Really bad paper mache.

I did find the 2 shorts to be just not funny. I’ll probably pass on the next 3.

Don’t get me wrong. I still like the 1st season. Just have to find some time to catch up before November.

The headline “According to testing on the ISS, cyanobacterium has been discovered to survive in the vacuum of space” isn’t nearly as exciting as space kombucha in big letters.

I got through the first season and liked it, but my pet peeve was that they totally ignored the fact that there would be almost no gravity inside the moon habitat. I know it was cheaper for them to do that, but for a tv show to be so realistic, it was a little off putting for me.

I guess we can only thank our lucky stars that these short shorts are not canon.

I imagine in the developer’s mind, they feel they can offer enough money (aka re-election money or other semi-legal means) to county leaders to get them to change the zoning laws. Not saying it would work, but that’s usually how it’s done. Forgive me, I’m a cynic when it comes to stuff like this.
