This is literally the question that Miatas are made to answer.

Think about it this way, though. This guy has found a way to basically rent a publicly funded professional military organization.  That is some seriously scary dystopian shit.

Isn’t the ZHP an option package, almost by definition?

Also, the base model of the contemporary E46 is the 325i, which is good, but not really the same thing.

Looking at that tiny grille opening, something occurred to me.

No way. Speaking as someone who owned a base Model 3, you really need the big battery.

Older Mustang or Camaro? You can absolutely find the 2005-2010ish generation of Mustangs for under $10K.

Don’t the American brands at least offer some sort of employee discount to their actual employees (not necessarily those of their dealers)?

Steve Lehto has talked about this before - Ford calls it “A Plan” or something like that.

What’s so bad about it? I’ve only ever ridden in the back seat of them as Ubers a couple of times, but I can’t really remember thinking anything other than “this seems adequate” about them.

I kinda wish we got these things in the States. The one thing I don’t love about my Scion iQ, after having owned a Tesla, is that the iQ seems like it should obviously be electric. This thing even looks like an iQ.  And holy shit 180 miles of range?  That’s more than a gas-powered iQ.

The moment I saw the photo, I thought “Texas A&M Bus!” I bet I’ve ridden in this bus. I bet some of my friends from college have driven it.

The fact that the hardware is mostly the same doesn’t mean that porting this to some other platform is trivial.

Isn’t TRD still a thing on Toyota trucks?

That engine bay is really tragic looking, like it’s meant for a 2.0L turbo four cylinder, but has one of those Predator go-kart engines from Harbor Freight instead.

Also, 175 miles of range is going to be a hard no for basically everyone, at any price.  Yeah, that’s enough to get by most of the time, but most people

This isn’t what I’d spend that kind of money on, but my spidey sense tells me it’s probably a reasonable price for one of these that isn’t completely destroyed.

Turns out, I misread Google Maps. It’s about 1100 miles each way, or 16 hours (Austin to Gatlinburg).

You’re not wrong... But 3200 miles by myself...

My family is having a reunion at the end of July in Gatlinburg, TN - just a stone’s throw from the northern end of the famous Tail of the Dragon.

They do stuff like this all the damn time, too. They released an update around Christmas time that rearranged the screen and made the usable part way smaller, mainly in service of making the “visualization” bigger.

My car (2021 Camaro SS) actually calls for premium in the owner’s manual pretty specifically. The 2017 Mustang I had was perfectly happy to run on regular, but the Camaro owner’s manual makes it sound like that should only be done as a last resort, and it should be topped off with 93 as soon as possible if one does.

I’ve always assumed the Monaco GP was really just an excuse to have a bunch of parties in Monte Carlo.  And also drive some fast cars for an hour or so.
