:this. I do the same. As a graphic designer a portrait for emails, pdfs and file structure while landscape for the actual design software is wonderful. One screen is dumb for what I do. I tried it for a while and it made the back and forth between virtual spaces maddening. Almost made me require printouts to do

Sadly the crisscrossing diagram is inconsistent. The left example shows the second from bottom eyelet as an over while the right diagram shows it as an under. I've always wondering if one style is more correct. I may never know. :(

How much of an “active service fee” are we talkin’ here?

As a home brewer who cleans a LOT of bottles I can also recommend, OxyClean. Which is basically Washing Soda mixed with Hydrogen Peroxide. Cleans while it's soaking. I haven't found anything better yet, but I also haven't tried plain washing soda. I just have the feeling more people have OxyClean lying around than

I've jailbroken since iOS 1 but never had a need to do an unlock. Now I do. I'm not currently seeing any info on unlocking for iOS 7.0.4. I've heard of UltraSn0w but never had a chance to use it, but it doesn't appear to be ready yet, if it will be at all. Can anyone recommend any options for unlocking? I even have

In my town it's all about picking the right time and right DMV location. At our downtown courthouse location, I'm typically in and out within 5-10 minutes where as if I tried to go to the DMV closer to the towns shopping area, it would take 30-45min+.

I'll never forget the date I got my very first cell phone — the Nokia 5110 on the Aerial Network. 9/9/99. I was about to head off to my first year of college.

I've been trying to figured out a way to drop messages in a gmail "Temp Hold" folder in which the emails that are placed within it are deleted after sitting for 2 months. Anybody have any ideas for this?

I'm with you. It's only steered me wrong once out of MANY usages so far. So the success rate is just as good as googles but now I have native, siri-compatible, vocal, turn-by-turn. I previously had to use waze for my turn-by-turn and though it was pretty good, I hated that I couldn't view a trip overview before I

Totally agree with Woz and have been saying so since release. I tried apple maps multiple times over the weekend, most of the time it was dead on. One time, WAY OFF. (It tried to drive me into a river….no bridge) But for those complaining about the public transportation, there's an app for that. Walking directions;

Really?! I always wondered why the people with T-mo had so much trouble indoors. Do you know where you read that?

I feel lost without my wrist watch. I don't notice how much I use it until I forget to put it on. Then I glance at the hairs on my wrist all day in frustration. Its probably the same reason I have clocks in every room of my house — not only can timepieces (both wrist and wall) be beautiful but they are also useful.

It's now been corrected.

Which really is ok by me. The trouble is that the naming was already started and the people that read giz (myself included) have NO trouble identifying versions by the generation number. I had no problem with the iPod at least but the REST of the public can't grasp it for some reason. I will frequently repair friends

Sorry I hate to be "that guy," but I thought I should note that the "iPhone 5" will not be the fifth-gen iPhone as stated in the first sentence. It'll be the sixth. This naming is going to get REALLY confusing for the non gadgets geeks this year especially if they just call it "Phone" or "New iPhone."

I agree! I just wrote how much I loved that phone and I still use mine as a backup too.

Sony Ericsson W810i. Fantastic phone and my favorite feature phone ever. I had waited about 2 years for it to finally make it to the states. It finally came and I picked it up right away. A couple months later the iPhone was announced and it made my new awesome phone feel out of date in a severe way. I bought a refurb

Yes please! iPad 2 version would rock!

I must admit, I have a two favorite pens. I've used one pretty much everyday at work for about eight years. The Pilot G2 Limited. It looks really nice and it performs even better.

I agree completely with this article and have been encouraging less tech-savy friends and family to do the same thing for years. I've noticed that the tech-impaired will have their big 8GB cards and are using a plain 6-8MP point which allows them to store a LOT of images on it. Therefore it never fills up so they
