I just saw a blue ‘85 xtra cab 4x4 MT with cap on my local El Listo de Craig. I’m sure it went fast, had low miles and reasonable asking price. I wish I had your restoration skills and I would have made a run at. I used to have a ‘94 with the V6 and I installed OME lift springs and torsion bars. Great truck, a little

I resent resemble that remark!

Anywhere you drive this thing there are going to be rest areas, McDonalds, etc to fulfill your need for an “urgent haircut”. Replace that space behind the front seats with some storage cabinets and head for the KOA!

While this gives me the wants, I learned this lesson with a double cab Tacoma: any truck bed less than 6 feet is USELESS.

Driving from Wapakoneta, OH to Troy, OH for my first day of my engineering co-op job. In an ‘85 Ranger 5 speed. First week of January and it is approximately well digger’s ass cold.

I had the cigarette fear for awhile. But that was when I had my Toyota pickup. Which sprayed fuel from pinholes in the hard lines that came out of the tank when the fuel pump was on. I think the fear was justified.

When I fill up and use pay-at-the-pump (which is always) I make sure to get a receipt and stuff it in my pocket. For some reason, I think I will get a block away and a cop will pull me over for stealing gas. Without the receipt, I won’t be able to prove I paid. And then I will be sent to pound me in the ass prison.

That’s Jim Gaffigan in a Pacifica, see the sliding door behind him. I don’t think Justin’s GTI has one of those.

How much for the John Deere in the background? Let’s NPOCP that.

Give them stupid looking haircuts. Oh...wait...I guess Mark Davis gets the wolverine instead.

And you can get the HRV with a stick. But not the CX-3 with a stick in the US, ohhhh noooo. Dammit Mazda, I want to like you.

With all the fancy crap on this thing, why does it have a rear tube “bumper” that looks like something you would order from Steelhorse?

‘89 4Runner, end of discussion.

Wish I could help but I moved out of West Lafayette 10 years ago.

I like David but a Wrangler as a first car for a new driver just isn’t a good idea. Too difficult to handle for a new driver especially in an emergency manuever. Get a beater sedan and after a few years of driving experience then go for the Wrangler.

Martha Plow, that’s her name, that name again is Martha Plow.

Suck! Suck! Suck! Suck! Suck!

CornerStep is a good idea. The rest just add extra weight, complexity and cost and will break at some point. And GET OFF MY LAWN! Damn kids.

OH CRAP! Speaking as the owner of a 4Runner and an Odyssey and a father of two little ones, just buy the damn van, I won’t think any less of you. You could probably manage the 4Runner with the third row seat but the Odyssey will be a lot more comfortable. You can stick the teen in the third row in the narrow seat (it
