He's dead.

If he's not dead then it would lower the oomph factor of this episode. The touching scene between he and Audrey. His final moments with Jack. Him taking his hat and glasses off and looking towards the sky accepting his fate. All for nothing? He's dead.

Too bad because she'd be belieavable and awesome.
