I think the show was trying to portray it as an only-Nixon-can-go-to-China moment—it takes a Democrat to have the guts to screw over the teachers' unions, because when a Republican does it anyone would think it's just because they *want* to screw over the unions, not because they think it's a *compromise* they have to

"Zaofu is, according to Kuvira’s map, located on a long strip in the northwestern Earth Kingdom."

Zuko's daughter was in the audience at the coronation. She didn't say or do anything.

In fairness, the plan is not just to kill Korra but actually to destroy the Avatar.

Yeah, Aang extracted all the water from the largest cloud he could find in the desert, and it turned out to be like half a cup.

The final DVD actually came out, like, a year ago.

Come to think of it, isn't that how the curse is resolved in either Ella Enchanted or the movie version of Ella Enchanted?

I really like how well Zaheer's motivation completes the set of four-element bad guys:

Wait, the episode about the new airbenders is a filler diversion from the season's A-plot about the hunt for new airbenders?

That seems very likely… his name is SATOru, and he keeps talking about how INDUSTRY is the FUTURE….

I don't think I agree with that. They could totally have a scene that begins with, say, Lothar Frey (the one who stabbed Talisa) riding down a road somewhere and meeting, say, Anguy and some dudes waiting in the road for him.
Anguy: Lothar of house Frey!
Lothar: Are you the Brotherhood Without Banners?
Anguy: That we are.

Just the opposite, I think! Lady Stoneheart serves some of the same narrative role as Reek—to kind of deconstruct the emotional craving for vengeance. One of the main themes of the series is that vengeance isn't ennobling or romantic or glorious; this is the subject of Ellaria's great monologue in AFfC, if I remember

It's totally possible that (a) Coldhands is Benjen but (b) that's not important to the plot, just an easter egg.
