@EmcySquare: I do that too, although my bike says "Yamaha" on the side and has about ~90 horses turning the pedals for me. ~50mpg and I can ride in the carpool/HOV lane during rush hour. I also pay about 33% of the car price for ferry fares (I live in the Pacific NW - lots of ferries).
