@brodie7838: Yes, although one should read others' reviews of each release before installing it; sometimes a release isn't very stable, but he quickly fixes it and re-releases. #jailbreak

It must suck to purchase a device and not be able to alter it as you wish.

@justabfler001: Should work just fine on EDGE, just a tad slower. I've never had a prob using Google Maps on my G1 with only EDGE, unless I'm using Satellite View. #android

@dualrudder: You don't have to ditch; buy a G1 on Craigslist or FleaBay, and pay $20 to unlock it (if it isn't already unlocked). My G1 works good on AT&T, albeit no 3G (and T-mo's 3G sucks anyway). #android

@dannymalt: If you want the world for free, why the h311 did you buy an expensivePhone? #android

@155: As Christopher Daniel said, yes. You simply do a voice search for BK in City, St, then say "call." #android

@jarmod: I don't see why this would distract drivers any more than the Garmin and TomTom units that are meant to be mounted to your dash/windshield.

@JerryA: That's the beauty of Android and WinMO. While your Pre OS is limited to, well, your Pre, WinMo and Android can be put on hundreds of different devices. #android

@nka: If your phone is determining your location by cell tower, that is NOT GPS (Global Positioning SATELLITE). That is cell triangulation. GPS determines your EXACT location (~10-100 feet, depending on how many satellites you're picking up).

You should never suggest your readers risk getting ripped-off and lied to at a Jiffy Lube.

@ereck: It was the enoch theme (the one I really want, dammit) that did it. Twice. And I made nandroid backups, and they wouldn't restore (tried restoring from cyanogenmod's recovery 1.4 and from fastboot, got error messages). I'd love to keep trying and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but this is my primary phone

It works GREAT on my G1! I just can't figure out how to apply a theme without bricking and having to start the install process over from scratch (installing dreaimg.nbh). #cyanogenmod

Hellotxt is much like this, but is web based and also has apps for many popular smartphones. It allows you to simultaneously update (and receive updates from) dozens of different social networking services, including Facebook and Twitter. #twitter

@leighmcdiarmid: Phosphates help clean your dishes, and promote algae growth. What's wrong with a little algae? #cleaning

Then your drillbits become magnetized. Then when you drill metal, the shavings stick to the bit, and you can't clean the bit off.

I have stacks of post-its on my desk. And monitors covered in post-its to remind me of the things I need to do when I'm at my desk.

@C. Pressley: Yeah, you forgot to send that in AN EMAIL.

"If your patio furniture USED to be your living room furniture, you might be a redneck." So what does this make you then?

@PickledEgg: I'm down with astroturf. Let the kids spill on the floor, then just take it out and hose it off!

Wow, that looks ridiculously easy. Almost the same process as installing an official update via SD card, just a few more steps. I'm gonna do it as sonn as I get a chance.
