Those are not what people call USB 3.1 ports. They’re USB 3.0 ports, like it says in the product title on Amazon. USB 3.1 Gen 2 cannot be transmitted through USB-A connectors. It has to use USB-C. You could technically call them USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, but no one does that because USB 3.1 Gen 1 is the same thing as USB

I don’t think that Anker charger is future-proof. It’s only 18w, so if your future includes a laptop that charges on USB-C, it can’t really be part of that future. And if the future is USB-C, then its inability to charge two USB-C devices at 18w is a limitation. True future-proof is more like Anker’s PowerPort Atom PD
