modern auto transmissions are better in every way outside of driver engagement, which only enthusiasts care about

Well implemented auto stop/start systems are great, but that usually requires a 48 volt electrical architecture or a mild hybrid setup, which I believe most Jags have. It uses a belt-integrated starter-generator/alternator, which IIRC is more powerful than a traditional starter motor, and makes for a smoother start.

This is highly dependent on climate.

I have 2023 supra and I think the feature is pointless and stupid, if I buy a sports car I definitely don’t care about mpg. The feature makes me look like a dumbass trying to race anyone off the traffic light since the car sounds loud and like I’m revving it, or it makes me look dumb like I don’t know how to drive

To add-on, memory function for power seats is a game-changer, especially in our one-car family where my wife and I are both regularly in the driver’s seat.

Power adjustable seats are the shit. You really have to be a Luddite to hate on that particular feature. Same with rear-view cameras - how can any Camaro owner hate on that feature with that wonderful rear visibility?

1000% disagree with the Adjustable Power Seats....

Where does it say that young people are buying 40K cars or more?

lol as if used car market hasn’t been crazy in the last two+ years. You’re just an old man yelling at the cloud

Yeah, it is almost like wage growth has stagnated and the guarantee of a yearly raise and bonus that boomers grew up with dried up after their 40 years in the workforce.

Yes, and you are less likely to have an existing equity in a vehicle for trade in or even substanial savings for a down payment. Heck, you can’t save for the “next car” after paying off a car if you are a new workforce participant in need of transport.

tbh, it might not really be a zoomer thing. if you’re young and making shitty money and the average price of a new car is like $40K, then there you go.

Now playing

Of all of these on the list, Life of Brian is an absolute masterpiece. Yeah yeah, Clockwork is pretty good too I suppose. But I’d argue that Brian is overall stronger than Holy Grail.

I have never heard one Biden supporter articulate what his plans are. What are his goals, his vision for the country? Crickets. All I hear is, “This is too important”. Really? Important enough to alienate half of everyone under 40? If it was that dang important, you wouldn’t be clinging to Status Quo Joe and telling

Who else is in the position to run on the same platform with his support? Marianne? Nina? Both of them likely didn’t want to be President yet... AOC is barely starting her career as it is and she’s not old enough... Omar would be likely shot because America is a big bag of racist f*cks... so who would be the ideal

To be honest, this entire comment section is pretty gross to read. I get that people dislike Bernie Sanders, but I don’t understand this pervasive sense that he’s some narcissist who is not earnest about his policy goals, or that it’s unreasonable for him to take Biden to task on these policy questions.

and the other QB thinks he’s playing tennis.

Good. You need 1,991 delegates to win the nomination, and Biden isn’t there yet. The next few weeks are a golden opportunity for Biden to show that he has something to offer younger voters/Sanders supporters, who presumably the Biden camp would like to have in the fold come November, besides “I can beat Trump.” In a

But it’s endearing!

I don’t have a problem with him call horseshit on an gun-lubed nutter but if that was his response verbatim then I do think we got 2 semi-demented white old men running for POTUS.  WTF Joe, can you speak English?
